Introduction

We created Comic Book: Survivors because we value comics for their storytelling, art, diversity, culture, and history. The impact comics have in helping individuals overcome challenges and providing hope in dark times is rarely recognized. As survivors of illness, dysfunctional families, bullying, social prejudice and/or non-acceptance, we both found a way to hold on through reading these brilliant pieces of art even though we came from different generations. Comic Book: Survivors wants to ensure that these comic books are available to everyone, especially those that need a little brightness in their life!
